Will Cobra R hood close on Termi front bumper?

Hey guys, i got a 99 GT and im redoing my nose. i would love to do terminator front bumper, and cobra r hood. but will it close on the bumper? i got a buddy who did a terminator front bumper on his 01 V6, and his gt/v6 hood wouldnt close on the termi bumper... will the cobra r hood close on a termi bumper? or do i have to do a GT or 01 cobra front bumper? any suggestions? i dont particuarly like the 01 cobra bumper, and if im spending all this money i dont wanna put just another plain old GT front bumper... what should i do? thanks guys

Rob

i dont see why it wouldnt close. The bodys are the same, regardless of the molded plastic.
And besides, ive seen a lot of 03-04 cobras with aftermarket hoods?

Your friend must have had a separate issue going on

nah i looked at his car. his GT hood would not latch on his termi bumper. he had Tasca Performance do all the work... it wouldnt close. as soon as the termi hood was put on. it was fine. but does anyone know for sure if it will close? cuz i can't really afford to buy them both on a hunch haha. anyone know someone who has this setup?

As far as I know, All 99 to 04 hoods will interchange. I just took an 04 mach 1 hood and put on my 02 GT without issue. It sounds like your friend has something like an alighnment issue.

02 yellow GT auto......SOLD.
Looking for another, stay tuned!

well a mach hood will obviously close on a GT front bumper bro. mach's and GT front bumpers are identical.

the issue is that the 03-04 cobra front bumper grill opening is half inch taller than the GT modle. I have seen cobra R hoods on terminators before so it is possible but you may have to do a little finesing of the grill opening to make it work. I would asume that a reputable body shop should be able to handle the job.
