1998 Mustang GT-Power window on driver side sticking

I have a '98 GT and for some reason my window keeps getting stuck all the way up. I got it to come down a couple times today by hitting the door panel right where the motor is mounted. When I rolled it back up the last time it quit coming down. Now it won't do anything but click. I think the window went up too high and now the gear is stuck. Can anyone tell me how to get it to come back down without taking it all out of the door?

I have a 2000 GT that this happened to and I had to take the door panel off and found that the track the window sits on was broken. It also made a ticking noise when I rolled the window up or down and it would also roll up funny. like back side of window would go up faster than rest of window. I had no experience with it but it wasn't hard to do. I took the broken piece to a junkyard to make sure I got the right part and found a good one there. Took me a couple hours to do start to finish that includes trip to junkyard but good as new now and have no problems since. Good Luck!

Sorry, to answer your question, I don't but I thought my experience might help. Until l took the panel off and got to root of problem I had a lot of frustration.

I had power window issues with my '98 drivers window also. Cheapest fix was to replace the motor with one found on ebay.
