Question about Zex NOS system for 2001 Mustang GT

I have read about 10 different forums and all say different so I was wanting a newer fresher advice. I am looking at this kit at summit racing linked below. It is my understanding I can run this is on my stock gt engine @ 75hp without any other parts needed. I will honestly only use the system maybe twice a year and i also have aftermarket cold air intake it. is it correct to assume my factory stuff will handle the Zex kit without any other upgrades?

With a 75 shot you will be fine but i would still put it on a dyno to see what your AF ratio is on the hit. I would also get a gauge to let you know what psi it is at, since 900-1000psi is optimal on the hit. Over 1000psi can make it go lean and under 900 can make it go rich. If it's going to be cold when you use the kit, you'll need a bottle heater to get it to the 900-1000 range. I would also get a safety blowdown tube. Your stock plugs should be fine with a 75 shot, but i would gap them a little tighter.

i ran the max jet on mine, which at the time was 125hp. it ran fine, can't hook up for sh!t though. just make sure you retard the timing. you'll def mess something up if u don't.

I just got an 02' GT, and thinkin 'bout adding the same kit. So let me know how it goes.

Also, not wanting to hijack the thread, but I heard if you're going to make it a constant use, that I would be better upgrading the internals (pistons and all) to forged. Is this true?

I heard the same about making it more permament but not sure as I havent went that far yet. got to say it is pretty sweet getting that boost especially when u think your at your optimum speed. i was a little nervous at first but the engine didnt start squeelin or whining like it was going to blow so i was relaxed LOL. I have a friend who is a brand ***** to Venom but even he liked the setup and hp gains. highly recommend this sytem
