Smile How far can i go ,1998 Mustang GT

i bought a blowin up motor out of a 1997 ford mustang. the ring let go in it. was wondering how far i could bore it over or what would be good? i am going to put pi heads and intake on it and i would like to put 373 gears in my car too. i have a 1998 mustang gt.

I would go only as far as it took to clean it up. So if it happens again your not looking for a block. ( .020, .040, .060, .080 ) And pick a set of pistons on what comp. u want.

The max that I'd bore a 4.6 block is .020 over.

ya .080 bore i think you could see the next cylinder . if you could go with a .010 bore so as said the block isnt maxed out just incase. and ive read allot about a bore plate, or a torque plate?? but you need to find a shop that has the right stuff to do the 4.6 or they can really screw it up

cams, and all basic bolt ons, arizen seats, cowl hood, and now my buckets got a hole in it (meaning im broke) but when i fix it ill have gears and some trany work

before it blew up it had 10 to 5 to 1 compression. would that be a good compression to go back to or should i go a little weeker?
