heavy white smoke coming from tailpipes/ticking on startup

hey guys today as i got off work and went to start my car, i had a hard time turning it on, finally turned over (had to give it some gas) then a ticking sound went active for about 5 seconds and a heavy cloud of white smoke arose. then went away, then at a stop sign more smoke was produced, im thinking a blown head gasket but not sure and as for the ticking im at a complete loss shes my baby so any opinions/info would really help guys thanks

thanks second opinions really matter, as for the ticking on start up could that jus be something loosening in the engine or something worse?
