I put a 99 Cobra T45 in my 97 Saleen but had to slightly modify the transmission crossmember a little to make that part work. They're both 4.6's and it will bolt to the engine.

the trans im looking at was in a 99 cobra and i wanna put it in my 97 cobra i heard something about the speedo gear being a 8 tooth is it the same in the 99 cobra?

Everything will bolt up but you won't have a speedometer. Your '97 is still mechanical where the '99 is electronic.
