KB 2.1 Intercooler pump dead

My intercooler pump died a while ago. I wonder if someone has replaced their ic pump with another pump (Cobra/Lighting, Bosch, Meziere) and any pointers they may have on the replacement.
Also, as some of you know, the heat exchanger and water reservoir that comes with the KB kit are not top notch (I did not want to say ******). Has anyone replaced them with LFP, AFCO, Fluidyne heat exchangers or Canton, LFP, Moroso cooling tanks?
I really dont want to relocate my battery. Also, I'm planning to replace my front bumper with a Terminator, Roush or Saleen so it breathes better.
I will appreciate any suggestions.

how old is the kit? kenne bell might give you a replacement at no cost. but other than that you'll be fine with upgrading.

Hi Mell0. Thanks for your reply.
It's been over 2 years, and the warranty period is 1 year.

I've been searching the net and I've found out that the Cobra pump is larger, and wont fit where the kb pump goes, but there should be no problem fabricating a bracket to place it nearby, and Cobra people usually keep their stock pump after upgrading to larger heat exchangers and cooling tanks, so I guess the flow is adequate for those.
Now I need to find out which cooling tank will fit without relocating the battery (or maybe I should relocate?) and which heat exchanger will fit, although I guess that whatever fits on a Terminator will fit on a 99-04 GT. Right???

Oh, and for those who wander why I dont just call KB and get a pump from them: dealing with KB can be very aggravating. Their supercharger is great, but their customer service is not...
