Auto Meter 5763 Electric Fuel pressure Gauge

Ive got a quick question. Does anyone in this forum have one of these gauges installed in there car? I installed one around 2 months ago and now it is doing something crazy. It goes through the full sweep and then it pegs 100 psi. It does this even if I unplug the wiring harness from the sending unit. Autometer will not warranty it because I do not have a bill of sale. I bought it off of Craigslist new in the box. Im trying to determine if its the sending unit or the gauge. If someone does have the same one is there anyway you could unplug it and check if it pegs the gauge so I know what to buy to replace it. Thanks for any help in advance....
