2002 mustang gt buying new fuel pump questions please help asap

hey guys, i am going to be ordering a new fuel pump for my 2002 mustang gt. i had the weldon db2025 external fuel pump in my car and it is now a paper weight due to not running the controller. so i am looking to change that out for the obx fuel pump it is rated at 1700 hp the specs (OBX's Fuel Pumps exceeds 800 lbs per hour @ 13.5 volts at 45 PSI). my question is will this pump be over kill for me? will it cause any problems? the reason i am looking into this pump is because i have a custom tank in my car with the sump block where the lines go into it and also the lines i have are - 12 an inlet and - 10 an outlet and i want to run this pump so i didnt have to change out my lines and all that good stuff considering this pump is the same size inlet and outlet. the only other option i seen that could possibly worke for me but i was unsure if it was a good idea or not was obx's other pump they have rated at 700 hp and the specs are (This Pump Flows Over 450lbs Per Hour @ 13.5V Set Fuel Pressure At 45 PSI). the only reason i am questioning this one is because it is - 8 an inlet and -6 an outlet and my lines i have not are - 12 an inlet - 10 an outlet. what i was no clear on though is if i was to buy reducer an fittings would i be ok as far as gas supply through the lines? would it effect anything have a smaller feed hole going into a bigger feed? thats why the other pump seems so much better because of the sizes and i cant find any other pump that will go right on. my car also has the following mods, cushman stage 3 blower cams, bbk long tubes, bbk o/r h pipe, flowmaster 40 series, bbk throttle body and plennum, plennum spacer, edelbrock victor jr intake manifold, edelbrock fuel rails, aeromotive fpr, and my engine is out of a 2000 saleen as well. please help asap i hope i was clear enoufgh for you guys
