With the handhelds from Bama its free tunes for life and you have 3 tunes to choose from Street, Performance, and Race. You give them your mods and whatnot and they write your tunes. Then when you change anything performance wise you email them and they change it for you. Generally a shop will charge you for another tune and you only get one.
I have a SCTx3 tuner i think. Got it off American Muscle and i love it. You can read engine codes and ive already got my tunes changed twice. 24hr turn around. id recommend it.
Also you cannot go wrong with gears. Will make a huge difference. 3.73s or 4.10s

Never mention throttle body spacers on here ever again. They're garbage. As stated, get a hand-held tuner and think about gears. Gears will actually help fuel mileage if you do a considerable amount of in-town driving.

With the mods I did (in profile) I got 18.9 mpg while TRYING to get the worst mileage possible, just to see how bad I could get it. I was averaging 20 mpg stock.

What gears do you recommend. Now when i upgrade the gear ratio i get a lot of torque from the bottom end for like launches and maybe the first couple gears but i loose top end speed right? ...thats fine. Now does this mess around with the odometer reading of the vehicle?

The torque multiplication will help you out around town. You won't have to downshift to 4th on those pesky hills anymore. The car will accelerate much better. You won't notice the top end unless you make a habit of driving over 150 mph on a regular basis, and I don't know anyone who actually does this.

You can get a handheld tuner to compensate your speedo.

Use the search function to get an estimate on install prices or check my threads for a good install guide to DIY.

Yeah I don't care about top speed. Would like something quick but don't want to effect like the length of my first gear .. Going from first to second in town is already short.

Gears will definatly make your first gear shorter lol, I can't make a turn anymore without shifting into second. but I will be honest with you bud, when you start getting into mods your going to have to sacrifice somewhere else and thats generally in fuel economy. I would suggest getting a beater car of an every day driver if you plan on doing much to the mustang you have. and yes it gets addictting

very few "real" hp mod exists for that motor without forced induction, when I got my Cobra I wanted a much better suspension since the factory ride/stance is mush...
Do a search on suspension and to have some real fun, get NOS, that way you can dust pesky ricers and still have MPGs
