Need quick answers to a power steering pump problem. Help!

I have a 2003 GT. I was trying to get my pulley off of my pump I was rebuilding and the puller somehow broke a hole in the back of the pump. Anyway, I went to pick n pull and they said the pump was not compatible with any other car than a 2003 or 2004 GT. Is this true? Does anyone have any experience with this? I need to drive it tomorrow and I would rather not put the broken pump back in. Thanks guys.

Haven't heard of that before, thought they were all the same but hey I've been wrong before. Call AutoZone or wherever and have them look up the part and compare to other years.

Yeah, I checked at Oreillys and they say 02-04 GT only and that they dont have one in stock or at the warehouse. Doesn't make sense to me why Ford would do that, but whatever. I guess I'll just order one from Rockauto. Thanks for the response!

could have been a change in the timing cover/bolt pattern. Rock auto is a good place to buy from. Google their discount code though.
