Battery light problems - '00 GT

Hey guys, I've got a 2000 GT with 165k on it with a manual tranny. I started getting the battery light a few months ago. I got the battery and alt tested, battery was bad so I replaced it along with new terminals. I started getting the battery light a few weeks later. My alt tested fine, so the question is why am I still getting the battery light? It only comes on sometimes and the car has never died or even threatened to.

Drive the car, get it nice and hot. Then check your voltage when idling at the alternator AND at the battery.

Nothing better than factory smooth...

I really should buy a volt meter. I've never had one and I don't really know how to use one.

They might look complicated, but they're incredibly simple to use.
