AC cold just doesn't blow very hard.

I have had this issue for quite sometime. I never use the AC during the cold months so didn't bother with it, but now that summer is here I would like to figure out what the problem is. Like I said it blows cold and when I put it on high its loud like it should be blowing hard but just doesn't. My stang is black so it gets extreamly hot and sometimes I have to start her and let her run for like 10 minutes before I can even touch the steering wheel. I remember many years ago I had a similar issue and when I checked the I am guessing blower/condenser that is under the glove box it had a wal-mart bag stuck in it. Once I pulled it out the air was strong again. This time there is nothing I can see or feel but its quite possible its farther in where I can't see it. Can this part be removed easily and cleaned out to improve how hard the air blows?

Thanks,

Preston

Freon is fine. Like I said it does blow cold it just doesn't blow hard. Max AC does blow a little harder than normal but not really much of a difference.

Does it produce a decent volume of air at first, and then after a few minutes or whatever produce less air? If so I would venture to guess that the evaporator coil is getting iced over and thus blocking airflow. Two ways I know of how that happens is, 1) dust or other misc. debris covering the coil doesn't allow sufficient flow through the coil which then causes ice to build up and block any remaining possible flow, and 2) a low refrigerant charge can cause the coil to become too cold and then become iced over.

The other thing I would look into is that the vacuum actuated blend doors are functioning. If one of those vac lines is broken/disconnected/leaking then the door will not open and close as it should.

Blows the same from when I first turn it on. Does not get worse or better over time.

How about on other vent settings, are the floor and defroster vents weak as well?

I would say yes. Like I said I can hear it loud like it would be blowing hard but just doesnt come out of the vents very hard.

Only thing I can think of is that there is a restriction somewhere (duhh, Captain Obvious lol) or the blend doors aren't opening or closing as would be appropriate, but I'm leaning more toward the restriction theory - if it were a door stuck open or closed, typically some vents work well and others dont. Only thing you can really do at this point is start taking crap apart to find the problem.
