Help with part name...

The coolant outlet nipple broke off of my manifold. This is located at the back of engine by the firewall and it is the outlet for coolant to run to the heater core (I think). Anyways... Is this nipple piece that extends into the outlet hose a separate part from the intake manifold or is it molded into the manifold?

In other words, I'm I looking at getting a new manifold or am I just buying a threaded nipple that screws down into the manifold?

If it's a separate part... what would it be called?

Help please!!

Thanks in advance.

Bad news. The heater nipple is part of the intake manifold. There are some ppl out there that say it can be repaired with glue. I just don't happen to be one of them.

Good luck.

Yea, figures a $10 piece will end up being $250 plus labor!!!
I'm gonna try the tap/pipe to tube game plan with sealant. If I crack it down to the manifold OH WELL. At least it will be a better reason to buy a new manifold. I see that this is a common problem. I'm going to do my best rigging and see what happens. I will post a follow up either way so others can benefit.
