Question about tranny fluid for 3650

I did my tranny fluid change today, my first time doing it so I have a few questions. I'm hoping I did it right. I have an 04 Gt 5 speed manual. Drained the tranny, noticed there was ATF coming out. I put in 4 quarts of Pennzoil Syncromesh, I read forums of guys recommending the product so I went with that. I put the fluid in through the shifter not the fill hole as I didn't buy a pump. I'm wondering if I'm going to mess something up by leaving the fluid level at 4 quarts, or should I drain some? Some people say 3.2 liters is what you need, others say 3.0, and others say 3.8, so I'm not really sure. I could always drain some. I did a quick test drive and it drives a lot better than what it used to, but since I'm not used to it driving that way, I don't know if that's a good thing or turn into a bad thing overtime. My clutch is a lot smoother, my car doesn't sound as forced anymore but I have a feeling it's not accelerating as quick as it used to. I noticed that the sound at certain RPMs isn't as loud anymore, but I have a feeling it's not as strong as it used to. Maybe it's the same, it's just my exhaust isn't talking to me as much anymore. Any input would be appreciated. Forgive my lack of knowledge.

You used good fluid, but too much, I would put the car up and something and remove the fill hole, some fluid will drain out and when it stops you'll be at the right amount.

Alright, just got back from draining a bit of the fluid out, I just opened the fill hole and let the excess drain out. Thanks guys.
