What is the normal IDLE on a Mustang gt 2000 on a traffic light lets say, keep in D and pushing brake pedal or in parking when fully stopped.

Some check me on this but IIRR....700 rpm...+50rpm if the AC is on (+ or - 50 rpm). If you are having idel issues....if the 2000 has these....#1 is TPS and #2 fuel filter & #3 IAC

I'd have to ask my bro in law who has an auto to be positive, but in D and stopped it should be around 700 (+/- about 50 rpm). Little higher, 700-800 when in Park or Neutral.

Thanks, then it is ok, sometimes it would go higher and go down, back and forth, not always though, after a long trip or cold day.
