easy bolt ons for more power 2002 GT

Very new to the site. Have a stock 2002 GT conv, I just bought with 40,000 miles, and trying to get ideas for adding some more horsepower and still keep it a daily driver when the weather is nice. The car does have borla side exhaust. The car has a auto trans also.

Thanks for any ideas

George

Welcome to the site!! A cold air kit is a good first bolt-on.

go ahead and save yourself some money and look into longtube headers, offroad midpipe, C&L plenum, any 70MM throttlebody, you really don't need a cold air intake, complete waste of time. I would also look into gears and a tuner(same time) this will be the LARGEST increase in performance you will notice and will be amazed at it. 4.10's are the best for a stock auto trans.

if you decide to get a cold air intake, I suggest saving money and buying the ebay specials.. they are identical to the stack racing and BBK intakes and can be had for 35$ shipped...

^^this stuff definitely helps.

Just don't overlook tire & suspension upgrades. All the horsepower in the world is useless if you can't use it!
