Differential comparisons

Im trying to figure out which lsd to get. Its an 04 gt auto and itl have around 450 whp with 3.73 gears and suspension. Torque arm lca and sticky tires but not slicks. I dont want a locker because itl be street driven dd. It needs to be reliable. The three im debating are auburn tremac, eaton e locker, or the eaton trutrac. Im looking for stories, comparisons, how strong each are, and suggestions on the three. Itl see maybe 20 passes a year.

Coming from an offroader I would choose the Eaton e locker. Eaton makes some very good lockers and have never had a problem with them. i have never heard auburn nor used them. The truetrac isn't even a true locker it acts more like a LSD. You need power applied to the axle before it engages and under stress and power they are more likely to break but coming from eaton they are still a good option.

The eaton e locker is a selectable locker so when you engage it before you run it will lock the axle 100% so there is no LSD. It's either fully locked or open. so my vote goes to the e locker. the e locker is stronger then any lunchbox locker. Lunchbox are usually cheaper and under stress they break easier. Between your power, suspension and traction you'll rip apart the truetrac before the e locker. Detroit makes good lockers as well.

I gots a mustang, that be why I here.
