4.10s

4.10s are a good gear if you plan on staying N/A if you are thinking of a power adder in the future 3.55-3.73 is a good gear to stay with.

Hey,

Welcome to All Ford Mustangs! Sounds like you have quite a build going.

You certainly have your head in the right place, the 4.10 gear is the perfect next mod for you build. To be honest, you will not see any extra HP gains after installing your gear. The gear only changes how you use the horsepower. Once you install the gear it will feel like you have an extra 50+ HP, because it changes how quickly the car accelerates.

Your factory gear is most likely something like a 3.31 or 3.27, when you increase that to a 4.10, your are only changing how quickly the drivetrain spins. This increase drivetrain spinning is what makes the car accelerate quicker, and give you the sensation of 50+ HP.

Other than the mods you currently have, you could go with a throttle body or mid pipe for extra HP, or suspension mods for cornering. Personally my next mod would be a set of lowering springs. They will really give your car a new dynamic around curves, and give your car an aggressive stance. However, any of these mods would really add something to your car for sure.

Keep in mind when your upgraded you car in the future, we offer a 6% forum members discount. Also, if you see a product you're interested in, advertised elsewhere cheaper, we will match their price.

If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to get in touch with myself, or our customer service team who's number is listed below my signature.

Gears don't affect horsepower but they do change torque . Torque at the wheels is directly proportional to the gear ratio of the transmission multiplied by the axle ratio . It's simple math , more gear = more torque .

ie. 4.56>4.10>3.73>3.27..........

Unless possible future power adder would be a KB or Whipple screw blower, stay with the 4.10's. Centri blower and N2O would be fine with that gearing.
