Would a lincoln 4.6 4 valve work in my 2005 vs mustang

So I'm going to do an engine swap pretty soon of a 4.6 lincoln motor into my 2005 mustang and I've been trying to find someone who has successfully accomplished this and ask what it took and what was the more difficult part about it or if it would even work? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Might wanna ask this in the 2005+ section, dunno that anybody in here has any experience with that one.

My honest opinion though is it would be a bit of a very complicated step backward. Lots of work for a 280hp, "B" headed 4.6. I can only imagine that at a minimum, the hurdles you can anticipate would be fuel system and engine management electronics (and interfacing it with the rest of the car, like the cluster for example). A much easier and more cost effective swap would be a 3V 4.6.

Seems like an awful lot of work just to take a step backwards to me as well. It would help if we understood what you are trying to do.

2003 GT Convertible (sold & missed)
2000 GT coupe (Craigslist project. Fixed. Now my DD). Windsor to Romeo swap.
