1997 Saleen Mustang misfire 2and7

Hey guys I am new to this site and i was wondering if anyone on this one can help me. i was on another mustang site and they were giving me the go around on finding out what the problem was. My mustang was running strong before i put gas in in last week and i didnt even make it 3.2 miles down the road. so i called a tow truck and had it towed back, took the fuel filter off and checked the gas thinking it was bad gas. well it wouldnt crank up for about 3 days and one day i took the spark plug out of # 4 to see if it was getting spark and it cranked up. i had a check engine light coming on and flashing from time to time so i hooked it up to a computer (the ones like advance autoparts uses) and it gave me the misfire code on 2 and 7. i replaced the spark plugs and checked the wires along with the msd ignition coil and still nothing help please?

Mis-fire on 2 cylnders would tell me you have a bad ignition coil. I'm not sure if cylinder 2 and 7 are fired from the same ignition coil but I would look in to that. Let us know what you find out.

For the 4.6 since #2 and #7 do NOT share a coil pack. But they are next to each other. My vote is that they are swapped at the coil pack. This would create a misfire on both #2 and #7 with a good spark test.

Consider double checking the spark plug to coil pack routing before digging deeper.

For 4.6 coil pack applications, the cylinder pairing is:
coil#1---coil#2
1-6-----5-3

coil#3---coil#4
4-7-----8-2

2000 GT coupe (Craigslist project. Fixed. Now my DD). Windsor to Romeo swap.
