Yup some new 6x8s in the doors will be an improvement. A single sub in the trunk will give your music that extra punch too.

The Infinity, Pioneers, Alpine are all great choices for speakers. For subs Alpine, JBL, and Image Dynamics are still good choices. Theres so many brands now in car audio, and it seems some use exact knock off peices of similar brands. So sound might be similar between a lot while quality may differ too.
