If you have three grand to spend then maybe instead of just getting 3.73 gears your should get a 8.8" rear end with the 3.73. The 8.8" can handle 400 HP+ and will give ur V6 a positract rear end.
I did the same swap on my 94 and it was by far the best upgrade i could have done so far. If u put 3.73 in ur 7.5" rear end and no positract system then you might have issues getting off the line with out burning one tire.
