My average MPG over the last 70,000+ miles is just over 30 MPG (total miles divided by total gallons used). The PCM dash MPG always reads LESS than actual (typically around 1 MPG).

I've got an Excell Spreadsheet that I put my miles, gallons, as well as cost per gallon in every week to keep track. Also keep track of "PCM MPG" reading & "Miles to E" at each fill-up and RE-SET the PCM MPG at the beginning of each week as I get on the interstate Monday morning.

Have hit 32.xx MPG about a dozen times, but have yet to break 33 MPG.
