I'm just flapping my gums here...
Stock shock/struts travel further than those designed for lowered cars. I could not see how eliminating the first inch or inch and a half of travel would be such a big deal. Sure they may where out faster, oh no, I'm going to have to replace parts on my car? *Gasp* don't adjust for the lowered stance and you may end up *gasp* replacing your tires! Haha, yeah, being a bit sarcastic.
Alignment is fairly cheap n panhard bar replacement is easy.
