Would help to upgrade shocks/struts to get the weight transfer. Friend of mine used to run a stock 99 Gt in the low 14's in the 1/4 mile on drag radials. I prefer them over slicks if you are running a stock differential. The stock ford one is ductile iron, but it has some sharp corners prone to failure under load higher than designed, such as with slicks. We ended up twisting one into two pieces running slicks in that car. Good luck!
