There is no way to "bench test a transmission" outside the vehicle, and the cost of part and replacement usually delays the determination by the dealer and Ford regional service managers to "make the call". Since there is no TSB for the MT82, it will take time to make "that call". Would still negotiate hard for a new (not rebuilt) one from Ford with a 2013/14 date code, if it is determined to be any failing part within the transmission. Especially if this is the 2nd time around for the same vehicle. Frustration must be extreme. Sorry to hear all that. At least Deysha is expediting the part to push the process along. At this point, I am "glad" that my whine problem was the rear end / pinion bearing. EZer to diagnose and fix, less cost, time... and it seems to be holding so far (not too many miles on it just yet after the fix).
