So, my cts on the crapalier has been giving me some trouble (and gas mileage is about 25% less or so than it was a short time ago) so I went out to the garage to maybe splice in a new wire, because I knew from before that it brok and was fixed by a mechanic a few years back. So, I go to undo his electrical tape job, etc and whatta ya know - he had cut off the female connector and it was jerry rigged - so off to the parts store I go, no luck - gotta order the parts - while I'm at it I'll get a new cts as well. Rockauto.com - can't beat 'em.
Here's where my question comes in after checking fluids, filter, etc. I noticed that my pwr steering fluid is black - NOT good, isn't that really red tranny fluid, or at least suppose to be? Then I check my brake fluid which was flushed last year (~3000 miles ago) by pep boys and it looks to be a grayish color - also not good, isn't that suppose to be red as well????
Stoenr - would it be possible for me to stop by your work on my day off next week to get my vehicle up to par for my long commutes??
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
What are you referring to when you say cts? I was lost on the 1st paragraph.
Sure, just need to make an appointment.
Brake fluid shouldn't look like that after flushed last year, maybe they hosed ya?
We have a brake flush machine.(if the bleeders open up on that old thing :P)
Also have a power steering flush machine.
When was the last time the plugs were changed?
