If someone sets up an obnoxiously tight clamshell, I will drop into 1st autocrossing. I don't heel-toe though. Its possible to just put in the clutch, push it into 1st and get back on the gas while letting out the clutch without anything weird happening.

I execute said procedure at about the 1:10 mark:

Seems to happen quick in the video, but it feels like it takes forever when driving.
