2 reasons...

1st, a front sway bar on a drag car has no value. If you are doing anything other than going in a straight line that would not be true. 2nd, the front sway bar (on my 85' Foxbody anyway) is very heavy. To reduce front end weight is desirable to get better chassis lift and weight transfer to the rear of the car. The object of the game being Horse Power to weight ratio. If it doesn't make power or improve suspension it goes away...IMHO
