Sway Bar Bushings Replaced
The rear sway bar bushings on my GT had to be replaced at 39,500 miles. My dealer said that premature sway bar bushing wear is a common problem on late model Mustangs.
The symptom is a clunking noise from the rear suspension. I did not notice the noise, but my dealer found the sway bar to have play during a routine inspection. The sway bar play was not reported during an inspection 10,000 miles earlier.
The cost was $100 out of pocket with the extended service plan.
