That is really a disappointing story. It seems that Magnaflow's warranty is more of a "I dare you to make this work without significant pain!" I hope you send a letter - with your experience - to the CEO of Magnaflow, the VP of Sales and the VP of Service. I'd make it clear that there were many places where they - Magnaflow - could have been "customer focused," and they missed everyone. I would also ask them what they wanted with the "scrap metal," that they couldn't have gotten from pictures made by the local Magnaflow dealer. It think this is a real "eye opener" about the issue of "aftermarket" warranties and service. I have had Magnaflow axle-backs, and didn't need help, and I paid a significant price for the product and the reputation of the company. They should understand that they only help their competition when they fail to be customer focused! Thanks for the write-up/lesson. I would probably still buy another Magnaflow product, but I will carefully understand the warranty before I do.
