The best advice I've got from seasoned veterans at the track. Pre-stage, get adjusted to leave. Then slowly roll in until you first see the stage light come on. That will make you leave at the same place every time. Don't watch the tree come down. Focus only on the yellow just above the green. When it flashes, go!!!!!!!!!!!!! If your car does not react fast enough for this you may have to time it by the second amber to get a good reaction time. I had bought a 87 LX for my daughter to race. When testing it, I had to leave after the second yellow flashed. That car just didn't have the throttle response.
