Ever since I was a kid in the NE I always wanted to drive the entire length of the BRP. My first time on it was on my annual March pilgrimage from Upstate NY to Florida to spend a week thawing out. We decided to hop on and see what it was like, and quickly hopped off because we had a 700 mile day scheduled and the Parkway doesn't exactly eat up the mileage in good time. After that I realized that it's not such a great idea to drive on it for extended distances. Not unless you have tremendous amounts of time.
I am extremely lucky to have somehow managed to find myself living nearby, along with owning a small cabin on the Eastern Continental Divide, and occasional clientele in the Region that allow me to travel parts of my normal travel routes on this road. Especially during the week when there is next to no traffic.
