NO!! because it is against federal safety standards law to use plate glass in ANY automotive part.

Just a question, take it easy. Any other suggestion or alternative?

Actually, you partly answered, because you did not answer my question fully.

So wait. You are saying that not a single member of a community who virtually all speed at times, some street race, remove catalytic converters, etc would never sell a piece of glass they could never be sure what it would be used for out of respect for that safety standard?

You asked two things, a question and a request. I chose not to make any suggestions. My prerogative.

None of those are the words I used. I am "saying" exactly what I wrote before, nothing more, nothing less.

Getting prodded for suggesting plate glass is unsafe on a car dashboard? Seriously. Oh, forgot. It's spring break. School is out. For a minute there I thought I was on tweeter, um, ah, twitter. EDIT: Replaced the word "flamed" with "prodded". It's easier on the eyes.

As you can see, someone using your account DID say the reason nobody is selling one is because its against the law.

You should at least change your password. If you weren't hacked, maybe some Prevagen would help.

OK, I give up. From now on, rules don't matter to me either.

Finally did this today. Did not use actual glass but instead went with the tap plastics mentioned on this forum as well and it looks amazing. That before pic was bugging me! Lol.

I wet sanded and buffed the original piece and waxed it. Its not perfect, but it looks pretty good and one less thing going to a landfill.
