Angry My sshaker 500 just shook a foot loose. Need help.

Hi,

My Shaker 500 I think is crapping out.

I need help finding out what it is.

Here's the symptom:

Sometimes the amplified portion of the stereo drops the door speakers out and I loose both woofers in the doors. I turn the stereo off and back on the door speakers bass comes back.

I was thinking amplifier and then I found out the each door speaker has an amp. So I thought its unlikely both are doing this at the same time.

Has anyone seen this happen and is it the head unit doing this?
If so it looks like its time to upgrade to a pioneer unit with GPS nav, bluetooth and the works.

Thanks for your tips and advice. I'd hate to drop 500 on a deck unit to find the problem still exsists and I don't want to drop 1000 at the dealer for them to tell me its the deck unit.

Any takers on this? Or anyone seen this happen?

It's my 2007 V6 doing this.

This has been happening to me too. It happens randomly then works prefectly other times. Sometimes all the speakers go dead and all that works is the two subs in the trunk. I don't think its the head unit though becaue its still reading the disk and I can hear it from the subs in the trunk. You might want to chase the wires and check ofr something. I havnt been able to figure out what it is though.
