Thank you for replying. I found a wiring diagram that will come in handy. The only other part I want to clarify, you only tapped one set of +/- from R and one from L? There's no need for all four pairs right?

That is correct. you want to tap one right and one left channel, weather it is voice coil 1 or 2 makes no difference.
