New 2012 Mustang Headunit with pics.

I ended up replacing the factory Headunit with a Double-Din radio using Metra's installation kit and a PAC module in order to retain SYNC.

Ordering the parts through Crutchfield saved me alot of money. Think they had if you order radio you get 50% off Metra Kit, and also 50% off on PAC module which is great!

Parts installed:
Clarion CX501 Clarion CX501 CD receiver at Crutchfield.com *(Our factory radios contain the Sirius satellite tuner. Take it out and we lose our Sat radio till new tuner installed, and I dont think 6 month trial can be converted over...you might have to subscribe right off.)

PAC Module Ford Factory Radio Interface Add an aftermarket stereo to select 2008-up Ford/Lincoln/Mercury vehicles while retaining use of SYNC® system at Crutchfield.com *(Needed not only to retain SYNC, but also has interface for factory amplifiers so you can still use them to power speakers 'n subs in doors)*

Metra Kit Ford Mustang Factory Integration Adapter Install an aftermarket receiver in a 2010-up Mustang at Crutchfield.com *(You can change color and contrast of screen, and type in a message to be displayed at all times. I just put in Mustang.)*

I will be getting the SiriusConnect™ Car-only Tuner Add SIRIUS satellite radio to your car stereo (Model SC-C1) at Crutchfield.com installed eventually to get Satellite radio back in the car.

The door subs are still stock, interior speakers replaced with Polk db571's running off of Alpine amp, 2 12" CVX's in sealed box running off of Rockford Fosgate amp. Everything sounds great in the car now. The work was done over at Joe's Total Auto Care in Newport News, VA off of Warwick. They did excellent job soundproofing back of car as well with dynamat and spraying blowfoam in all the nooks n crannies. Also cutting up the radio loud does not dim my lights so we must have a good stock alternator in these cars.

Sorry for pics being a bit blurry.
