Replacement radio for a 1965 Mustang Coupe?

I recently purchased a 1965 coupe and the radio doesn't work. The current radio is a OEM looking radio with a cassette, not the original AM radio. I have seen online they sell a updated version with an AUX port for iPODs, etc. There are also some terrible looking speakers in the rear window that a previous owner probably installed. Currently, there aren't any speakers in the doors and I haven't looked in the dash where the original speaker should have been.

My goal is to have a radio that I can listen to but nothing ridiculous. I like the clean look of the car and don't want a trunk full of subs, amps, etc. How easy would it be to fix this myself or should I just take it to an audio shop and have them do the work?

I bought a radio at for my 1971. It is one like you described, totally looks like the OEM radio but has all new tech and has an AUX input for satellite or ipod. It was only like $180 and was super simple for install. So far I've only got the center dash speaker and the two door speakers hooked up to it but it sounds great. I think that might be your best bet. I'll take a pic later to show you.
