Would someone measure their trunk and see how much space there is between the base of the trunk under the latch and the back of the seats in the middle like I did in the picture? I'm curious how much I actually lost. I think Rick told me I only lost 10" of space... but I'm not certain.

Just measured it at 40.5". My box was kinda in the way so give or take half an inch or so. And thanks for the pics Just wanted a better view so I can show my installer here what im aiming for. And you said the amp is on top of the box.. was it a tight fit?

I have another 10" dual voice-coil BA sub in a box still if you are interested. I had ordered two because at the time I wasn't sure how he wanted to build the box. The amp has plenty of room.

I decided to install the HU myself, after the guy that did the amp/speaker install left me high and dry on numerous attempts to schedule. Audio express in Phoenix is a joke. Bunch of tatooed hoodlums working there.

In any case, the HU is installed and working. Now, I have to run the peripherals.... GPS antennae, Backup camera, microphone.

I agree, it was fairly easy. But, I don't do this often. In fact, I was a teenager 20+ years ago when I was last interested in spending money on a car stereo. One thing that i have to figure out is that green box in the pic. It is a line level to RCA converter. I *think* I can remove it and just hook the RCA to the 4 ports on the back of the HU right? The ARC 5/1 amp powers all the speakers. I am not 100% certain. Wasn't able to google an answer. Any pros know what I'm talking about? Help appreciated.

One more question. The PAC harness on the vehicle harness portion has another blue power turn on wire. I had hooked up the other blue from the interface already to the HU. Should I hook up the 2nd blue wire to the others? may not make sense...have to take a decent pic.

yes, if youre running a separate amp connect your rca cables from the HU to the amplifier

thats the amp turn on wire, that gets connected to your amplifier

Yes. But the amp is already turning on with the other blue wire connected. Should I leave it as is, or hook up that one too? I'll take a pic when I get home...
