Shaker 500 system ?

Anybody know if the Shaker 500 system has an unused sub-woofer output on the head unit and if so, is the wiring harness in place all the way to the trunk?

Not sure since I haven't had my head unit out yet but I used an Audio control L6Ci to tap into the rear speakers.

I believe the AMP is under the passenger side kick panel. If there would be one it would most likely be there.

$150.00 for the Audio control unit and you will be able to hook up a dedicated sub amp and a four channel amp for the rest of the speakers with zero issues. The unit also senses power to the speakers and has a remote on for the amps. Run your 12+ power from the battery, find a good ground in the trunk and go from there.

After some research today I have found out the ACM (audio control module) has the extra sub ports used for the trunk subs on the Shaker 1000 system. I have also found out that the said sub ports are inactive on the shaker 500 system. So are you saying that a new ACM with the shaker 1000 ports activated costs $150, or it would cost $150 to have a dealer activate the sub ports on the ACM that I already have in the car?

Thanks for the info.

AudioControl LC6i (Gray) 6-channel line output converter for adding outboard amps to your factory audio system at Crutchfield.com

Looks like it's cheaper now. That will allow you to keep your factory head unit and run 2 amps, one for your sub and the other for the rest of the speakers.
There are other alternatives but this was the direction I went. I didn't need to find a remote wire or anything, just a constant 12 volts and a ground. Tap into the rear factory speakers and you get 3 sets of RCA's to choose from. 1 dedicated sub amp and maybe a 4 channel amp.
