Removing antenna from head unit

I just bought a new head unit and I need to remove the antenna from the stock h/u. How do I go about doing this?

I'm right there with you. Been going nuts trying to figure out how to get the antenna cord out. Anyone out there know?

I just replaced the head unit on my 2012 Base Mustang. The antenna can be removed from the back of the stock radio just by pulling out on it.

There is very little slack on the cables that are attached to the stock radio, so you will need to reach under the radio and use quite a bit of force to pull the antenna lead.

The hardest part of the whole process was getting the cables and antenna lead removed from the back of the stock radio in order to remove it.

Thank you Summer67. It took a little work, but I got that thing undone.
