Shaker 500 Does Not Illuminate?

So I bought my 2006 Mustang 7 months ago, always took for granted my display was the only thing that light up on the Shaker Head unit. Then I saw another Mustang lit up at night, and realized more then just the display (stations/CD) lights up. Does anyone else have this problem? Or does anyone know a fix? And yes my dash dimmer is turned up all the way on the brightest setting. Any help would be great, thanks all.

Check for any fuses blown. I have a spare S500 HU, it still lights up @ night.

Fuses are good. I found a way online to self diagnose the Shakers. Mine gives the faulty code. It still works fine, just doesn't light up (display works). Ill live with it besides I live in Las Vegas and its very bright here.
