2012 GT Base Steering wheel swap HU Question

Hello everyone,
My 2012 Base GT should be delivered tommorrow but I have been trolling this forum for a week now. Great stuff. I traded in a 2005 crossfire and their forum saved me alot of money and time.

My question is: I am replacing the steering wheel with the boss wheel, already ordered. If I am replacing my HU with a Pioneer, do I still need to do the ACM update? I have read threads that say the ACM resides with the factory HU, so i'm thinking that I do not need to do it and all I would need to get the steering wheel volume buttons to work is an aftermarket integrator like the Axxess ASWC.

Welcome to AFM! Let me move this to the audio and alarms section to get you some help from the gurus there.

Thanks for joining and be sure to get pics up when the toy arrives!

Does the Boss wheel you ordered have all the extra buttons like the Premium GT wheel?
