2011-2013 air/climate display on radio screen?

I have a 2013 premium w/o navigation. I noticed that on the radio display, there is some space above the compass and above the exterior temp, if you look close enough or shine bright light on it, there are options to display fan speed and A/C temp.

I was driving the other day, and while messing with my A/C I saw those displays come on for a second, then go out. Are those displays disabled by default?

Im not sure how to explain this, I hope I made it clear enough. Ultimately, are the A/C temp and fan speed options suppose to be shown on the display of the stereo system?

I'm surprised no one has responded. I ordered my mustang with the same exact setup - premium without navigation. Once it comes in, I'll let you know if those show up on my screen. Expect a reply around the beginning of October.

I have the Tech package in my base V6 convertible. It does the same thing, except I can`t get the display to stay up all the time. When I hit the two buttons it just flickers most of the time for me, but I can see the temp & fan speed real quick.
