Shaker 1000 sub/amp question

I have put the shaker 1000 2 speaker box and 4 amps in the truck of my fox body, currenly the audio feed is coming in from my drivers rear speaker line. Are the shaker subs supposed to recieve all level of audio (high/mid/lows) or are they supposed to be bass only? Currently they have alot of voice coming out of them and sound great but currious if they should be bass only.

Garage
should be bass only, ussally high and mid tones can ruin a sub.
