If I'm installing two ken wood speakers (not subs) will I need a aftermarket head unit and an amp or will the factory one be able to work just as well?

Stock would work but aftermarket player would sound better. More power and adjustments for the setting you want

I have the specs on the speakers. Ima running two stock door speakers with two kenwood speakers. The kenwoods are each 100watts and 4ohms each. Do I need an aftermarket head unit or will the 2003 ford mustang stock head unit be enough?

The stock unit is fine, however, an aftermarket unit will sound better, produce more power, give you more adjustment options, and and will have an AUX input and/or USB for your ipod/phone/whatever (I have a thumb drive in my car with all my music).

Check out Crutchfield.com, they're a good place for info and pretty good deals on equpiment. They even throw car specific instructions and install gear, and they're always great with shipping and service... I love them

But is the difference big? Is it worth it?

Just louder and maybe more clearer. Stock will do the job. Go stock HU 1st and if your not happy upgrade to aftermarket
