Pioneer head dimmer fluctuates in 2006 GT.

Howdy!

I installed a Pioneer AVH-X3500BHS into my Shaker 1000 system last night using the PAC adapter (C2R-FRD1, I believe). Preliminary report: sounds great! Unfortunately, the dimmer connection leaves me with a fluctuating display (bright-dim-bright) whenever the headlights are on.

I understand that the Pioneer wants to see a 12v signal instead of the varied signal from a dimmer, so does anyone know which lead on the factory harness I need to tap into?

Well with your old wiring harness it should dim when you turn your headlights on. But if you are not wanting that splice it into your remote or your power memory wire

Remote should be blue. Red for power. Yellow for memory

Yes, but it doesn't dim: It "flickers."

Just an update for anyone that sees the same issue: PAC says my unit is faulty and needs to be replaced. If I don't want to bother with replacement, then I can run a wire from the headlight switch.

Also, they take a LONG time to return emails.
