Need helping installing Sub into 2002 mustang

So I recently bought a 2002 Mustang GT convertible and was trying to install a sub a had laying around in my house.
The previous owners didn't tell me much about the vehicle but from my own observations i have all of the original Mach 460 speakers as well as the dual amps mounted in my trunk.
I discovered Two speakers cabled running from my Head Unit all the way back into my trunk and they were not connected to anything, I also found the large copper wire attached to the wheel well as a ground but also was not connected to anything. I was curious if anyone could give me some advice into installing this single 10' Sub into my trunk since it is apparent that the 460 Amps are pretty hard to deal with.
This is my first attempt to setup speakers in a car before so don't blame me if ive missed the obvious lol!

Some help would be great! thanks!

it would be easier to install with an aftermarket head unit

ok im about to get off so pay attention.

the aftermarket head unit will retain all of the speakers/amps as long as you wire it up correctly.

then but an amp wiring kit, it should come with a power wire, remote wire, RCA cables. Run the RCA cables separate from the power wire. You will connect the remote wire to the blue wire on the harness, this will tell the amp to turn on when the car turns on. Run the power wire from the battery through the firewall back to the amp. Then connect the RCA cables to the back of the headunit and run it back to the amp. Hook the speakers up to the correct terminals on the amp, turn on the car check everything and enjoy.

Google aftermarket harness for the mach 460 system. the harnesses that you get at bestbuy and other places suck ass and two pins never line up right. good luck pm me with questions.

I found some guide to being able to add a sub woofer in my trunk without needing to buy a new HU, keep in mind im nearly broke. But there are some pictures id like to show of some spliced in my trunk aswell as my stereo which run to my trunk.
Please reply if you know what the wires the wires that are spliced into do or anything that will help me out! thanks!
