I want satellite radio in my 2012 GT base

First, I am a senior citizen (65), so I don't need all the latest and greatest in stereo.

My car came like all GT base cars without the sirius radio, but with the button on the dash for it. Salesman said it was a simple matter to install an antenna and a chip (?) in the stock radio to convert it over to sirius. Parts dept however was either not too knowledgeable or wanted to get in my wallet real deep because they were talking 800.00 to convert it.
My question is do any of you guys know of a aftermarket kit that will do the job and not look like a piece of crap ? If you have experience with this, please tell me where you had it installed or a website to go to, so I can see what is available.

Thank you in advance for your help

Took my Shaker 500 into a auto stereo place and had them install XM instead of SIRUS because I liked the channel line up better. Was done with a remote receiver and an interface kit from Axxess Integrate, Comprehensive Interface Products

2008 manual GT with deluxe trim, Edelbrock e-force, FRPP GTB Mufflers. 3.73 gears, Coast Ultralight Drive-shaft. 18" OEM Polished Bullitts, Webelectric Sequentials, XM built into the Shaker 500. Alarm and Escort RedLine.

I have not done it yet, but this seems like the easiest way to go
Ford Sirius Satellite Radio Kit iPod Interface w Text 2006 Bluetooth Capable | eBay

The basic kit allows you to add I pod control and an additional aux, then you can add on pieces (such as siruis, bluetooth, or HD radio) as you see fit. Hope it helps!

Is your car Sync equipped? If so you can get the Raxiom Navigation system from American Muscle. I believe it's compatible with Sirius.
